NHL rumors: CDC advises league close locker rooms to stop coronavirus

The Centers for Disease Control reportedly recommended that NHL teams close their dressing rooms to media in order to stop coronavirus' spread.

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and ESPN's Emily Kaplan reported Saturday that teams will hold interviews in a formal press area.

The Sharks will play Saturday and Sunday at SAP Center as scheduled against the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, respectively, after the Santa Clara County public health department recommended "postponing or canceling mass gatherings and large community events where large numbers of people are within arm's length of one another." The team already began holding media availabilities away from the locker room following Friday's practice at Sharks Ice.
