CALGARY, Alberta — Martin Jones will start in goal for the second consecutive night as the Sharks desperately look for two points against the division rival Calgary Flames on Friday.
Jones, who is 33-21-6 this season, is 2-0 this season in the second game when he starts back-to-back nights. This is the second time this season he’s played games on consecutive days on the road, with the last time being Dec. 13 in Toronto and Dec. 14 in Ottawa, both San Jose wins.
Jones made 19 saves in Thursday’s 3-2 loss to Edmonton that left the Sharks with 93 points, three points behind first place Anaheim and two back of the Oilers.
