The Barracuda continued its staggering run of success with its 14th straight win Saturday, beating the Tucson Roadrunners 4-3 as Timo Meier scored 1:46 into overtime.
With the Barracuda trailing 3-2, Nikolay Goldobin scored off an assist from Ryan Carpenter with 2:04 to go in the third period to tie the game.
Marcus Sorensen scored the Barracuda’s first two goals and now has 17 for the season. Carpenter had two assists. Goalie Troy Grosenick stopped 19 of 22 shots as the Barracuda improved its record to an AHL-best 33-11-4.
Goldobin, who was reassigned by the Sharks to the Barracuda on Monday, assisted on Sorensen’s first goal 4:10 into the first period.
