Logan Couture's latest heroics lead Sharks to Game 3 win vs. Avalanche

Logan Couture was called many things by his teammates after the Sharks' 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup playoff second-round series on Tuesday.

Linemate Timo Meier called him a "game-first guy." Goaltender Martin Jones called him a teammate that "every time, you can rely on."

But coach Peter DeBoer probably said it best after his top-line centered tallied a hat trick and carried San Jose to a Game 3 victory: He's a "big-game player."

"We had a bunch of big efforts tonight and he was right at the top of the list," DeBoer told reporters in Denver after San Jose's win.
