Jones banks another shutout; Pavelski nets two in Sharks' win

The Sharks ventured to Arizona on Friday for their second preseason contest with the Coyotes, and kept their foot on the gas, coming away with another uplifting victory under the new regime.

It began rather quickly.

Arizona's Michael Stone was called for hooking 5:29 into action, which set up the first opportunity of the game for San Jose.

The Sharks, who have shown great improvement on special teams under new coach Peter DeBoer thus far, benefited from a power play goal, this time from Joe Pavelski. He was assisted by forwards Patrick Marleau and Logan Couture.
