SAN JOSE — Joe Thornton is hoping he can come back and play at some point during the Sharks’ best-of-7 first round series against the Anaheim Ducks but stressed again Tuesday that he won’t re-enter the lineup until he knows he’ll be there to stay.
“I don’t want to come in and not feel great and come out of the lineup,” Thornton said before the Sharks left San Jose to fly to Anaheim. “If I’m going into the lineup, I’ve got to know that I’m prepared to play 28 games. That’s my mindset.”
