SAN JOSE — Joe Thornton thought there was a chance he could be included on the NHL’s list of its 100 greatest players. Once it was revealed that he didn’t make the cut, Thornton decided that it wasn’t going to bother him.
“At the start, I was like, ‘Ah, maybe I could be on there.’ But once it came out, I live my life, or try to live, with no stress,” Thornton said Monday afternoon after the Sharks practiced. “So as soon as it came out, it was like, ‘Oh, you’re not on it. OK, don’t worry about it.
