EDMONTON – Although he’s officially a game-time decision, indications are that Joe Thornton will remain out for Friday’s Game 2 of the Sharks’ first round series with the Oilers at Rogers Place.
He is, however, making progress. Thornton stayed on the ice on Friday longer than he has since the left knee injury occurred on April 2, skating for more than an hour with the scratched players and looking more mobile than he has in recent days.
“It was nice to get a little extra in there, so it was good to test it a little bit more today,” Thornton said.
