SAN JOSE — Jannik Hansen was pulled from the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup prior to their home game against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Then, the waiting began.
Canucks coach Willie Desjardins “told (me), ‘We’re going to pull you from the lineup,'” Hansen told Vancouver reporters Tuesday. “I was sitting around for the first and second period, still waiting for something, then (general manager) Jim (Benning) called and let me know that I was being traded.”
Hansen, 30, was dealt to the Sharks for 2014 first round draft choice Nikolay Goldobin and a conditional pick in this year’s draft.
