SAN JOSE — Jannik Hansen’s wait to join the Sharks is expected to end Wednesday, a team spokesman said, when the newly acquired winger practices with his new teammates at Sharks Ice in San Jose.
Hansen, acquired by the Sharks from the Vancouver Canucks on Feb. 28, has had to wait to join the Sharks while he went through the immigration process to work in the United States.
Barring something unforeseen, Hansen, 30, will also play for the Sharks on Thursday when they host the Washington Capitals. Hansen has not played in a game since Feb.
