Casey Cizikas and Cal Clutterbuck each had a goal and an assist, Thomas Greiss stopped 38 shots, and the Islanders beat the league-leading Lightning 5-1 on Sunday in New York.
New York scored three goals in the opening five minutes as it won for the 11th time in its past 14 games.
“It just shows what type of team we are when we play the right way, and how successful we can be,” Cizikas said.
