ANAHEIM — Discipline played a key role for the Sharks in their 3-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.
Simply put, the Sharks had some, and the Ducks — as has been the case for a good portion of the season — didn’t.
The Sharks officially had seven opportunities with the man advantage in Game 1 of their opening round playoff series against the Ducks. Their one goal came on a two-man advantage in the second period, as 16 seconds after Andrew Cogliano went to the box for slashing at the 6:41 mark, Ryan Getzlaf followed suit with the same infraction.
