SAN JOSE — Six days after he was acquired by the Sharks in a trade with the Ottawa Senators, Erik Karlsson will finally get a chance to wear a teal jersey.
The Sharks announced Tuesday afternoon that Karlsson is scheduled to practice with the team on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Solar4America Ice and be officially introduced at a press conference later that afternoon in downtown San Jose. Karlsson will be joined at the press conference by general manager Doug Wilson and coach Pete DeBoer.
Karlsson, a Swedish citizen who had spent his entire NHL career with the Senators, had been awaiting a work visa to come to the United States and begin the season with the Sharks.
