Tomas Hertl will undergo minor knee surgery tomorrow and there is no timetable for his return, San Jose Sharks general manager Doug Wilson announced.
Hertl sprained his right knee four days ago during a 3-2 loss against the St. Louis Blues, and returned to San Jose on Friday for further testing. Hertl will undergo the surgery under the supervision of Kaiser Permanente’s medical team, and will rehab his knee in San Jose, according to Wilson.
This is Hertl’s second surgery on his right knee in three years. In 2013, surgeons repaired damage to his MCL and PCL in his right knee after a knee-on-knee with Dustin Brown.
