BOSTON — Make no mistake, Micheal Haley will be the first in line when it comes to standing up for a teammate or holding opposing players accountable for taking liberties.
That’s the biggest part of Haley’s job description.
But Haley wouldn’t have dressed for 33 games for the Sharks this season, or perhaps even be in the NHL, if he was just a one-dimensional player.
Haley, now in his 11th season as a professional, has eight fighting majors, but also has seven assists — including four in his last seven games — and his average time on ice is up over a minute per game from last season to 8:22.
