BOSTON — Pete DeBoer is finally getting what he’s been looking for all season.
On the opening day of the regular season, DeBoer spoke about his desire to put together a third line that could tip the scale in the depth of the lineup as he explained his decision to skate Evander Kane with Antti Suomela and Joonas Donskoi. The Sharks coach said he hoped to create a dynamic similar to the three-headed monster that the Pittsburgh Penguins sent out with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel skating on separate lines during their runs to the Stanley Cup in 2016 and 2017.
