After winning over 600 games and two Stanley Cups, Darryl Sutter, who led the Sharks back to respectability in over five years behind San Jose’s bench, said he’s done being an NHL coach.
Sutter, who was out of the NHL last year after he was fired by the Los Angeles Kings following the 2016-17 season, told Sportsnet in Canada he’s no longer seeking a job in the league, which he’s been a part of for close to 40 years.
“I love my schedule now – that’s the best way to put it,” said Sutter, 59, who remains a rancher in the family’s hometown of Viking, Alberta.
