OTTAWA, Ontario — Mikkel Boedker spoiled Erik Karlsson’s homecoming party, getting revenge on the team that shipped him off to Ottawa in salary dump to make cap space for their pursuit of a difference-maker in the offseason.
Boedker scored a goal and recorded three assists as the Sharks (12-10-5) losing streak reached four games Saturday in a 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators.
The Sharks traded Boedker to the Senators in June for Mike Hoffman, who they later flipped to the Florida Panthers for draft picks, in an effort to clear up cap space to make a run at unrestricted free agent John Tavares on July 1.
