CALGARY, Alberta — Bill Peters guaranteed it. His team followed through and delivered.
In a conversation with Pete DeBoer Monday morning, the Flames coach guaranteed that his team would bring its A-game to the rink in Monday’s showdown for first place in the Pacific Division, a response to the squad’s 1-2-2 record over its previous five games. The Flames showed just how much offensive fire power they have, beating the Sharks 8-5 on home ice Monday night.
In doing so, the Flames extended their lead over the Sharks in the Pacific Division to three points. They lead the second place Vegas Golden Knights by two points.
