SAN JOSE — Evander Kane arrived in San Jose around midnight and was immediately welcomed to town early Tuesday by one of the South Bay’s most famous residents.
“Jumbo picked me up,” Kane said of Joe Thornton on Tuesday after the Sharks’ morning skate. “That was real nice of him, especially with the injury that he has. It’s good to see a familiar face right off the hop. A nice welcome.”
