SAN JOSE — The Sharks desperately need help scoring goals these days, which explains why San Jose pulled off a surprising deal for Buffalo’s talented forward Evander Kane before Monday’s NHL trade deadline.
Kane has scored 20 goals and assisted on 20 more in 61 games this season, but that’s not exactly why some think of the 26-year-old from British Columbia as offensive.
Right or wrong, the reputation Kane has carried with him from NHL stops in Atlanta, Winnipeg and Buffalo is that of a brash, cocky player who has had issues with his own teammates.
