SAN JOSE — Erik Karlsson issued a guarantee on Friday: “definitely be ready for playoffs.”
At this point, the Sharks aren’t setting a timetable for Karlsson’s return from groin issues that have sidelined him for 13 games over the last three months. Karlsson says he won’t be back “any time soon,” but the hope is to get him on the ice for a “few games” before the Stanley Cup playoffs kick off on April 10.
“100 percent. Should be no issues for (playoffs),” Karlsson said prior to Sharks practice on Friday. “It’s just whether I can get a few games in before, which would be nice.
