The San Jose Sharks have come out of the Christmas break on a positive note by snapping their three-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
During 5-on-5 play, the Sharks generated 13 scoring chances in the first period, but unfortunately took two penalties, one of which came back to haunt them in the form of Jakob Silfverberg taking advantage of Martin Jones losing track of the puck to open scoring.
In the final minutes of the period, contribution from the Sharks' fourth line resulted in Melker Karlsson tying the game before the intermission after receiving a pass from Joonas Donskoi.
