NASHVILLE — Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said Saturday he took a couple aspirin before he delved into the tape of his team’s loss to the Dallas Stars the night before.
“It was what it appeared to be. There were no surprises,” DeBoer said of Friday’s 6-1 loss to the Stars with a bit of a laugh. “I was hoping it would make me feel a little better, but it didn’t.”
Despite Friday’s loss, the Sharks remain on the verge of clinching a playoff spot Saturday as they get set to face the Nashville Predators. With a win in regulation time or overtime against the Predators, coupled with a regulation time loss by Los Angeles Kings to the New York Rangers later Saturday, the Sharks would clinch a postseason berth.
