SAN JOSE — Sharks coach Pete DeBoer wasn’t sure as of Sunday afternoon if forward Joonas Donskoi would join the team for its four-game road trip this week.
DeBoer said he was going to meet with Sharks head athletic trainer Ray Tufts sometime later Sunday to decide a roster for the week.
Donskoi is recovering from an upper body injury he suffered when he absorbed a hit from Colorado’s Andreas Martinsen in a Jan. 23 game against the Avalanche. The Sharks are 3-1-1 in his absence.
The Sharks open the road trip Tuesday in Buffalo against the Sabres, then play Thursday in Boston, Saturday in Philadelphia and finish things Sunday in New Jersey against the Devils.
