PITTSBURGH – Sharks coach Pete DeBoer will miss Saturday’s game in Pittsburgh due to a personal matter, general manager Doug Wilson announced in a statement.
Assistant coaches Bob Boughner, Steve Spott and Johan Hedberg will handle the coaching duties for the Sharks in their game against the Penguins, as the club tries for its fifth straight win.
DeBoer is in his first season as Sharks head coach. He also missed the Sharks’ optional skate on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
