SAN JOSE — Defenseman David Schlemko did not play the final two periods of the Sharks’ 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks.
It isn’t known when Schlemko might have been hurt or why he missed the last 40 minutes. He took a holding penalty with 3:25 to go in the first period, but did not have a shift after that.
Schlemko tried to skate at the start of the second period but stayed out of the game.
“He tried it, which is a good sign,” Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said. “He had the ability to get out there and thought he might be able to come back.
