SAN JOSE – Logan Couture returned to practice on his regular line on Monday, a strong indication he could be ready to play when the Sharks visit Calgary on Tuesday.
Couture has missed the last 23 games with a fractured right fibula at the ankle. In three games, he has one assist and a +1 rating.
The 26-year-old, named an alternate captain before the season, skated on Monday with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward, where he started the season before getting injured in a practice at the Prudential Center in Newark on Oct. 15.
The Sharks’ top line with Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski and Melker Karlsson remained the same for Monday’s skate, as did the third line of Tomas Hertl, Tommy Wingels and Matt Nieto.
