SAN JOSE — NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said Friday the league will be holding more preseason games in Europe next season, including Germany, raising the possibility the Sharks will be one of the teams taking part.
On the heels of preseason games held in Sweden, Finland and China last fall, Bettman, at a downtown press conference, said the league will be holding more exhibition games overseas next season, tentatively scheduled in Switzerland and Germany.
A season-opening game will also be held in Prague of the Czech Republic and two regular season games will be held in Stockholm, Sweden in November.
