The United States and Canada have announced their World Cup of Hockey rosters, and three Sharks are on the list.
Brent Burns, Joe Thornton, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic will be representing Canada. Both Thornton and Burns were named to the roster today, which implies their play during the latter half of the NHL season impressed the Canadian coaches enough to put them on the team. The most notable snub for Canada is defenseman PK Subban, who was left off the roster while Jake Muzzin made the cut. I don't understand the logic behind that decision.

Joe Pavelski is the only Shark to be named to Team USA, and he is certainly well-deserving.
