Burns Nominated for King Clancy Memorial Trophy

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced that defenseman Brent Burns (@Burnzie88) has been nominated for the 2015 King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The King Clancy Memorial Trophy is an annual award given "to the player in the League that best exemplifies leadership qualities both on-and off-the-ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."

It is the second consecutive season Burns has been nominated for the award.

The 30 year-old Burns is in his tenth NHL season. A leader on and off the ice, Burns has worked tirelessly to make an impact in the Bay Area and North American communities, supporting organizations such as the Sharks Foundation and Defending The Blue Line by participating in numerous events throughout the year.
