During the second game of the season for the San Jose Sharks, Joe Thornton aggravated his knee injury and was subsequently sidelined for 9 games. Recently we learned from coach Pete DeBoer via The Athletics Kevin Kurz that Jumbo has also been suffering from an ankle infection and a broken toe earlier this season.
