Defenseman Brent Burns did not have a point in Thursday’s game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, ending a streak of 14 straight games where he recorded at least one point in a Sharks road game. Per Darin Stephens (@SharksStats) it was the longest such streak for a defenseman since Paul Coffey had a point in 15 straight road games in April/May of 1995.
During the streak, Burns had 10 goals and 13 assists, seven multi-point games and one game-winning goal. The Sharks went 9-4-1 in those 14 games.
Here’s a quick look at Burns’ 14-game road point streak.
