The St. Louis Blues had a special guest behind the mic for the radio broadcast of Game 2 against the Sharks in the NHL's Western Conference finals.
Twelve-year-old Wyatt Nelson was invited by the Blues to broadcast a few minutes of the game after viewing a video of the boy doing play-by-play, which he does regularly for his dad Gerry, who is blind.KMOX radio analyst Kelly Chase and Blues general manager Doug Armstrong invited Wyatt and Gerry to Tuesday night's playoff game, and they decided to put the youngster on the air. This topped off a day in which the Nelsons attended the morning skate and met Blues assistant general manager Martin Brodeur, the onetime NHL goaltending great.
