The Sharks signed five players on Tuesday that are expected to be a part of the inaugural AHL Barracuda roster.
They include:
*Bryan Lerg, Worcester’s captain from a year ago, signed a one-year contract. Lerg, a forward was one of the better Sharks stories last season, when the 29-year-old made his NHL debut and scored the game-winning goal in Edmonton on April 9 when the Sharks were already out of playoff contention. He led Worcester in scoring with 41 points last season.
*John McCarthy, Worcester’s all-time leading scorer with 156 points, returns on a one-year contract.
