Wrapping up their two game weekend set against the San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche), the San Jose Barracuda skated away with two points on Sunday evening thanks to the performance of goaltender Mantas Armalis, who made 25-saves (13 of which came in the third period) in the Barracuda's 3-1 win.
The Barracuda line of Nikolay Goldobin, Rourke Chartier and Kevin Labanc continued their hot streak as the trio combined for four points with Labanc and Chartier each scoring a goal while Goldobin dished out two assists.
Labanc put the Barracuda ahead 1-0 at 9:00 of the first period with a power play goal, his fourth goal of the season, off a snap shot from near the left circle faceoff dot that beat Rampage goaltender Nathan Lieuwen through the wickets after Labanc corralled a cross zone pass from Goldobin.
