NASHVILLE — Patrick Marleau is returning to the Sharks with the idea that he can provide some veteran depth and much-needed versatility to a lineup that’s been shorthanded all season.
But Marleau, despite his remarkable career, can’t be expected to be a cure-all.
The Sharks allowed two goals by Roman Josi, third period goals by Kyle Turris and Filip Forsberg and only partly ended their offensive frustrations in a 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, dropping their record this season to 0-4-0.
Evander Kane and Brent Burns both scored for the Sharks.
