SAN JOSE — Sharks coach Pete DeBoer referred to Joonas Donskoi a Swiss Army knife-type player capable of moving up and down the lineup and filling a variety of roles.
Right now that role is playing on the fourth line with Melker Karlsson and Barclay Goodrow as the Sharks, for the time being, have all of their forwards available for the Western Conference Final against the St. Louis Blues.
“You need guys like that,” DeBoer said. “You need depth this time of year.”
Joe Pavelski’s return from a head injury last week had a small ripple effect through the Sharks’ lineup.
