For the first time in franchise history, the San Jose Sharks have only drafted forwards. The team came into the 2020 NHL Entry Draft with seven picks. After trading four times, the Sharks walk away from this draft with nine selections.
Here are a few break downs of the prospects:
- Just three of the forwards the Sharks selected are centers.
- Four are from Canada; the United States, Russia, Sweden and the Czech Republic are also represented.
- Six are right-handed shooters, three are lefties.
- The Sharks had four picks in the seventh round.
