The Sharks announced Tuesday the signings of unrestricted free-agents Radim Simek and Filip Sandberg, each of whom played in Europe last year.
Sandberg, a 22-year-old forward, signed a two-year deal. He scored eight goals and had 17 assists in 52 games for HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League.
“Filip is a very creative player who sees the ice well and can create offense in limited space,” general manager Doug Wilson said in a statement. “He plays a high-pressure, puck-pursuit game and his battle level is something we have been impressed with, especially against older players.
