The most noteworthy aspect of the NHL All-Star weekend was the league honoring its top 100 players of all-time, a group assembled from a panel of 58 voters.
With a list like that, there’s going to be second-guessing.
Two current players — Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin and the Sharks’ Joe Thornton — are the two most frequently mentioned omissions. Former Shark Igor Larionov is in the next breath of close calls.
With that in mind, just who makes up the top 10 Sharks of all time? Here’s one opinion:
First off, three players deserve an honorable mention: Logan Couture, Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Jonathan Cheechoo.
