SAN JOSE -- Chris Wondolowski plans to stay in San Jose as he continues his pursuit of Major League Soccer's all-time scoring record.
The Danville native agreed to a two-year contract extension in a deal that will keep the team's most prolific scorer in history in San Jose through at least his 35th birthday, if not beyond."I want to be here for the rest of my career," Wondolowski said Friday. "I want to get an MLS Cup. If some accolades and things happen and I'm able to wear the Earthquakes jersey, it makes it more special." A league source said the deal includes an option for a third year.
