SAN JOSE – A goal-fest between the Earthquakes and FC Dallas fittingly was deciding by one of the greatest goal scorers in MLS history.
Chris Wondolowski gave San Jose its first home win in almost six months, scoring in the 62nd minute off a give-and-go from Vako Qazaishvili to give the Quakes a 4-3 win over FC Dallas in front of a season-low 15,648 at Avaya Stadium.
Wondolowski, who made his first start in five games, now has 142 goals – three behind MLS all-time leading scorer Landon Donovan.
Qazaishvili had a brace in the first half and Magnus Eriksson scored in the 54th minute for San Jose (4-14-8, 20 points), which broke a franchise-record 11-game home winless streak and took three points at home for the first time since the season opener on March 3.
