On a quintessential California day Tuesday, the Earthquakes took the training field to prepare for their upcoming friendly against Real Sociedad. With the non-league match ahead, several regular starters took a lighter training day while those who would see time in the friendly got a heavier workout.
On-Field Highlight
During shooting drills at the tail end of practice, Earthquakes forward Chad Barrett drilled a shot that whizzed past David Bingham and into the top left corner of the net, inciting “Woos!” from several of his teammates.
Off-Field Highlight
The Earthquakes, in partnership with Sutter Health, are introducing the Get Earthquakes Fit program into five more local elementary schools this week (Rocketship Alma, Rocketship Si Se Puede, Rocketship Brilliant Minds, Rocketship Los Suenos, Rocketship Discovery Prep), marking 13 different schools participating so far this season.
