Coming off a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the Earthquakes are set to embark on their first road game of the season. Up first on the two-game trip is Sporting Kansas City. Having earned only one victory on the road last season, Saturday’s match is a chance for the Quakes to make an early statement that their road woes are a thing of the past, but it won’t be easy. Kansas City made the playoffs last season thanks in large part to its 10-4-3 home record.
