Jan. 22, 2014 – Signed Tommy Thompson as the Club’s First Homegrown Player
The San Jose Earthquakes signed midfielder Tommy Thompson to as the club’s first Homegrown Player. 2017 proved to be a memorable year for Thompson, who earned many career-high accomplishments: his first goal for the club, four assists, 16 starts and 1,534 minutes played. Besides his efforts on the pitch, Tommy won the club’s Andrew Bedard Spirit of the Game Award/Humanitarian of the Year award for his charitable efforts.
