SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes celebrated their homecoming following a three game road trip with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over the Portland Timbers at sold-out Avaya Stadium as Chris Wondolowski scored twice and notched an assist.
Jahmir Hyka scored the opening goal for San Jose and Florian Jungwirth added two assists on the night, as the Quakes pushed their unbeaten streak at home to five games.
The Earthquakes starting XI was unchanged from the previous week, as head coach Dominic Kinnear looked to keep the momentum from last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Minnesota.
