SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Earthquakes returned to their winning ways Saturday night with a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in front of a sell-out crowd at Avaya Stadium
A long-range golazo midway through the second half from Nick Lima gave the Quakes all they would need in snapping a three game MLS losing streak. The clean sheet was the team’s first since a scoreless draw against Sporting Kansas City in mid June.
The Quakes welcomed back Marco Urena, who helped Costa Rica make the semifinals of the Gold Cup, back into the starting line-up.
