The Stanford forward played three-and-a-half seasons for the Quakes
The San Jose Earthquakes, quiet so far during the MLS summer transfer window, have traded fourth year forward Adam Jahn to the Columbus Crew in exchange for an undisclosed amount of Targeted Allocation Money. The deal opens up another spot on the 28-man active roster -- the Quakes have room to make three additions this summer -- and boosts their supply of TAM, a form of salary cap relief that can be used to sign designated players.
San Jose already features three DPs on the roster -- Matias Perez Garcia, Simon Dawkins, and Innocent Emeghara -- but one of those contracts could be bought down with TAM, and another DP signing could be made this season.
