Now we know the San Jose Earthquakes’ seed and upcoming opponent in the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.
The Earthquakes finished as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, and so they’ll take on the No. 1 seed, which is Sporting Kansas City, in the opening round of the playoffs, which will be the week of Thanksgiving. It’s a single-elimination game, and it will be held at Sporting KC’s home of Children’s Mercy Park.
Somewhat strangely, because of the bizarre 2020 season we’re in, the Earthquakes and Sporting have not played once this season.
